Biografie: Kate Blubaugh Kate Blubaugh from Reno, Nevada is an enthusiastic fly angler and accomplished caster. Kate 
has participated in four USA Nationals, attended five regional
tournaments and continues to participate in local tournaments
sponsored by the American Casting Association. She is currently promoting new casters to the American Casting Association and promoting women and children to the sport of fly-fishing. During the summer of 2004, Kate Blubaugh worked as an Assistant Manager at Pine Point Lodge in British Columbia. She is currently working at the Reno Fly shop, Reno Nevada. In recent years Kate Blubaugh has been invited to Europe to demonstrate and teach fly-casting to the public of several sports shows. Kate has published casting articles and has been featured in fishing articles in European fly-fishing magazines that include Vliegbinden & Vliegvissen, published by Vipmedia in the Netherlands. Kate Blubaugh is, among other clubs, a member of the Flycasters Inc., San Jose, California and has recently been honoured for her contributions to the club and fly-casting. Since 2004 Kate has acted as Good Will Ambassador for the International Women Fly Fishers, while attending fly fishing fairs in Europe where she has been demonstrating and teaching fly-casting. She has extended herself to women in European countries bringing women together whether it was to connect with other women in neighbouring countries or connect women with the industry. This is an avenue that Kate will continue. |
